Equipment Mechanic

Pay

  • $17/hr minimum

  • 1.5 x overtime

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, rebuild, and repair heavy duty commercial vehicles and equipment

  • Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment

  • Diagnose problems and make repairs in the field

  • Prepare and maintain records and reports.

  • Train and assist the operators in the routine care of the machines

  • Maintain an orderly and clean shop

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate

  • 2+ years of experience maintaining heavy equipment

  • Extensive knowledge of gas and diesel engines, and hydraulic systems.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience maintaining a variety of equipment

  • Experience with welding and fabrication

  • Operation of vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes

  • Class A CDL (+$2.00/hr.)

Additional Requirements

  • Physical effort including standing, bending, lifting, and carrying equipment up to 45 lbs. unassisted
