Equipment Mechanic
Pay
$17/hr minimum
1.5 x overtime
Responsibilities
Diagnose, rebuild, and repair heavy duty commercial vehicles and equipment
Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment
Diagnose problems and make repairs in the field
Prepare and maintain records and reports.
Train and assist the operators in the routine care of the machines
Maintain an orderly and clean shop
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
2+ years of experience maintaining heavy equipment
Extensive knowledge of gas and diesel engines, and hydraulic systems.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience maintaining a variety of equipment
Experience with welding and fabrication
Operation of vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes
Class A CDL (+$2.00/hr.)
Additional Requirements
Physical effort including standing, bending, lifting, and carrying equipment up to 45 lbs. unassisted
