Equipment Mechanic
Pay
- $17/hr minimum 
- 1.5 x overtime 
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, rebuild, and repair heavy duty commercial vehicles and equipment 
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment 
- Diagnose problems and make repairs in the field 
- Prepare and maintain records and reports. 
- Train and assist the operators in the routine care of the machines 
- Maintain an orderly and clean shop 
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate 
- 2+ years of experience maintaining heavy equipment 
- Extensive knowledge of gas and diesel engines, and hydraulic systems. 
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience maintaining a variety of equipment 
- Experience with welding and fabrication 
- Operation of vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes 
- Class A CDL (+$2.00/hr.) 
Additional Requirements
- Physical effort including standing, bending, lifting, and carrying equipment up to 45 lbs. unassisted
